Okuma Helios SX spinning reels are made from C-40X carbon, offering lightweight rigidity through the TORSION CONTROL ARMOR design. This ensures internal parts stay in perfect alignment for freshwater and inshore saltwater fishing, minimizing twist and torque.

Centrifugal Disc Bail (CDB)

The Centrifugal Disc Bail design is strategically weighted and balanced with a heavier brass disc which facilitates more controlled bail operations. This design also enhances the strength and stability of bail functions.

Progressive Drag

Okuma’s 1-K woven carbon fiber drag knob is featherlight with the ability to adjust drag settings for various fishing conditions and battles. Its progressive drag feature makes creating personalized drag adjustments a breeze.

C-40X

Okuma’s C-40X carbon fiber technology is a revolutionary combination of blended graphite polymer and elongated, reinforced carbon fibers. This innovative material is 25% lighter than standard graphite, yet 50% stronger and completely resistant to corrosion. All of these features are packed into an incredibly lightweight and durable design.

Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR)

CFR technology provides an increased air circulation around the rotor and spool during every turn of the handle, creating a “cyclonic” airflow. This renowned design has been tested to improve drying speed should the reel become wet, reducing the risk of rust and maximizing the lifespan of the reel.

TORSION CONTROL ARMOR (TCA)

The TCA one-piece construction is comprised of Okuma C-40X carbon fiber technology. Dual arm design provides increased torsion and flex resistance when under load for increased strength. This design not only makes the reel lighter but also prevents internal parts from misalignment.
