The hook used is as important as any other part of the equation. Gamakatsu Nautilus Circle Hooks are among the best due to their superior diameter to strength ratio. These hooks are very sharp with a chemically sharpened point.

The barb is big enough to keep fish hooked and the diameter small enough to pierce the fishes mouth easily. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, try the Gamakatsu Nautilus Circle Hooks.
