Product Details The Avet HXW MC Raptor Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives offshore anglers the wide-frame line capacity, dual-drag stopping power, and casting control needed for tuna, wahoo, grouper, amberjack, halibut, and other hard-fighting saltwater fish. Its patented dual carbon fiber drag system applies smooth, heavy pressure during long offshore battles, while the lever drag with adjustable strike pre-set, ratcheting Glide Plate, and Strike Stop button help anglers stay in control when fish surge deep or make hard runs away from the boat. The Avet HXW MC Raptor 2-Speed Reel pairs a wide frame and spool design with precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine grade aluminum, stainless steel components, and an anodized finish for strength and corrosion resistance in offshore conditions. The Magic Cast adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system uses Lenz Law to help reduce line overrun and bird nests while casting live bait, iron jigs, and heavier offshore presentations. Two-speed gearing, precision-machined stainless steel gears, and 9 ball bearings provide fast line pickup and powerful low-gear torque, while the patented silent dog and gear anti-reverse system reduces handle back-play for dependable hook-setting power. The loud alarm clicker, offset machined handle arm, and soft touch handle knob round out a reel ready for trolling, jigging, casting, and deep dropping applications.
