Product Details The Avet HX MC Raptor Plus Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives saltwater anglers the drag pressure, frame strength, and cast control needed for tuna, grouper, amberjack, halibut, striped bass, and other hard-pulling fish. This two-speed conventional reel pairs a powerful lever drag system with an adjustable strike pre-set, reliable Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags, and a ratcheting Glide Plate with a Strike Stop Button for controlled pressure during heavy fights. The Magic Cast adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system helps reduce line overrun and bird nests when casting live bait, iron jigs, or heavier offshore presentations. Precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum, stainless steel components, stainless steel gears, and an anodized finish add corrosion resistance for offshore and nearshore use. A re-designed true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight balance while helping keep the reel rigid under heavy drag loads. The 9 ball bearing system keeps retrieves smooth, while the offset machined handle arm reduces cranking wobble during long battles. Avets silent dog and gear anti-reverse system uses additional engagement teeth to reduce handle back-play, and the loud alarm clicker plus soft-touch handle knob help anglers stay in control while trolling, chunking, or fishing structure. Available in left- or right-hand retrieve.
