Product Details The Avet LX MC Raptor Plus Two-Speed Lever Drag Conventional Reel gives offshore and Great Lakes anglers serious drag strength, fast line pickup, low-gear cranking power, and added casting control for tuna, striped bass, salmon, halibut, grouper, and lake trout. Available in right- or left-hand retrieve, this Raptor Plus model combines Avets patented dual carbon fiber drag system with a ratcheting Glide Plate and strike stop button for controlled drag adjustments during deep runs, heavy trolling spreads, and close-quarters fights at the boat. Precision-machined 6061 T-6 marine-grade aluminum, stainless steel components, and precision-machined stainless steel gears provide dependable strength for demanding saltwater and freshwater fishing. The Magic Cast adjustable magnetic anti-backlash cast control system uses Lenz Law to reduce line overrun and bird’s nests while casting, improving control with heavy baits and changing conditions. A redesigned true one-piece frame improves strength-to-weight balance, while anodizing increases corrosion resistance and finish durability. Inside, 9 ball bearings, Avedrag dry carbon fiber drags, a redesigned silent dog and gear anti-reverse system, and a loud alarm clicker keep the reel smooth and responsive under load. An offset machined handle arm reduces cranking wobble, while the large soft-touch handle knob adds comfort during long fights.
